The Global Reporting Initiative, consultants Sustainable Events Ltd and a multi-stakeholder Working Group will develop an Events Sector Supplement, due for release in late 2011. Sector Supplements are created for those sectors that show a clear interest in sustainability reporting but require a tailored framework to accommodate its unique needs. The Events Sector Supplement is tailored to the reporting on an event and will provide the sector with the opportunity to report with transparency, honesty and integrity. It is likely to increase the number of reporters and a more detailed level of industry reporting on sustainability. For more information visit
