In Step 1 you identified some issues...and in Step 2 you thought about which issues are going to be easy for you to target.  Step 3 was about creating SMART objectives.  In Step 4 you got management buy in.

 Step 5: Create a Sustainability Policy

Document your company policy on sustainability so youi always have something to refer back to.

*Tip: This doesn't need to be a long document!  It can be short and to the point.

Ask your management to support you with implementing sustainability in your events and in your business.

*Tip: communicate in economics! The cost savings are what the management will really wake up to!

 Over the next month, we're going to give you the key steps for where to start with implementing sustainability in your business.

Step 1: Brainstorm what your issues are in relation to sustainability/sustainable development under the headings, social, economic and environmental.

*Tip: Remember to think about both positive and negative issues!  Don't forget to ask your colleagues for input.

 

It's important to think about what your issues are before you can start to address them.
